Under the visionary leadership of founding director Aaron Kintu Moses z”l, the school grew from a handful of students to become a beacon of learning for over 400 children. Today, Aaron’s children and community continue their father’s work, ensuring the school remains true to its founding vision.

A Profile of Staff Member Kokas:

Kokas is the managing director, he has no office but tours the grounds, supervising, teaching, entertaining the kids, leading morning and night lessons. Solving problems, hiring teachers and staff, and making sure everything is running smoothly. He is the primary grant seeker and fundraiser, ensuring Hadassa can continue to thrive. 

Kokas feels a duty to transfer his knowledge, kindness, and tolerance to future generations. He seeks to create a home where Jewish students are taught the history and philosophy of the Jewish people, as well as a place where students from all backgrounds can learn to live in compassion and community with one another. He hopes to steward Hadassa in such a way that it grows and thrives, creating a legacy of learning and kindness for generations to come. 

A Profile of Staff Member Simcha:

Simcha Katalima teaches Hebrew and Jewish culture, she helps conduct services at school and prepares kids for their Bar and Bat Mitzahs, she administers and grades exams, teaches Jewish dance and songs. 

Simcha also leads the IT department, ensuring that the children gain computer literacy and internet savvyness. She teaches certification in Microsoft office which helps students prepare for the tech driven world. 

Simcha is also the international ambassador for Hadassa, leading communications with the international community to build partnerships across borders and oceans. 

Simcha also serves as supervisor for the budgeting department at Hadassa, providing oversight to the financial office. 

Between all these activities, Simcha finds time to ensure the girls have access to sanitary products and hygiene needs.
